Equator Art Projects is pleased to present KEEP CALM AND SHUT UP!, a solo exhibition by Indonesian artist Oky Rey Montha. A rising star emerging from Indonesian art scene, the artist will be showing a small group of paintings in acrylic on canvas. These new works reflect the artist’s wild imagination, tongue-in-cheek humour and the transformation of his painterly style, revealing a greater degree of expressiveness and fluidity.

Oky Rey Montha (born 1986) studied at the Indonesia Institute of The Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta and graduated with a Major in Design Visual Communication. Since graduating, he has established an international career, exhibiting extensively in Indonesia, Singapore, Italy and Switzerland. He has held solo shows at Galeri Canna, Jakarta Primo Marella Gallery, Milan and he has participated in numerous group exhibitions including Art Stage Singapore (2014), Scope Basel (2011, 2012), ArtJog (2010, 2011), Galeri Nasional, Jakarta (2010). He currently lives and works in Yogyakarta.
